Rangers will keep close tabs on any of the Scottish Premiership's emerging talents.

It's part of the club's 14-point recruitment policy under new director of recruitment Nils Koppen, who is tasked with building a winning squad capable of banking the club a player trading fortune.

We've seen it already with the arrival of Connor Barron this summer, the Aberdeen youngster storming his way into the Rangers first-team and into the Scotland squad as a result.

But there's another name, closely linked to Rangers, who continues to go from strength to strength and after his latest exploits in the Scottish Premiership, will have his sights set on breaking Ibrox hearts.

Lennon Miller nets Scottish Premiership double

There is probably no brighter talent in Scottish football than Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller.

The 18-year-old broke through into the Fir Park side's last season and Rangers were reportedly watching Miller as the Steelmen's Premier Sports Cup campaign got underway this summer.

With the Scotland youth international insisting that this season was about developing is game and adding more goals and assists, the progress is evident.

Having fired Motherwell to the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals with the winning goal over Dundee United earlier in September, Miller is now off the mark in the Scottish Premiership too.

Lennon Miller scored both goals as Motherwell recorded an impressive 2-1 victory over St Mirren this weekend to further bolster his burgeoning reputation.

The midfielder equalised after Killian Phillips had given St Mirren an early lead before converting a penalty on the stroke of half-time to complete the turnaround.

Dan Casey also saw red for Motherwell and Scott Tanser for St Mirren as both sides were reduced to 10 men in North Lanarkshire.

Rangers fans will get an up close and personal look at Lennon Miller in the coming weeks.

The Motherwell star is set to face the Gers in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final at Hampden in November.

Andy Halliday: Lennon Miller has 'everything'

Ex-Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday has been speaking about the potential of Lennon Miller via Open Goal this week.

The former Gers star is currently at Motherwell and works closely with Miller on a daily basis.

As calls from within the Rangers support to move for Miller continue to get louder, Halliday has described the teenager as one of the best youngsters he has ever played alongside.

"He's certainly right up there," Halliday told the press earlier in September. "I've been lucky to play with a few talented youngsters.

"But for me I just look at Lennon and think he's got everything.

"To be honest, it's not just being a young player, but I think he's one of our best players and he has been for a couple of seasons now.

"I think we're very, very lucky to have him but I've said this many times as well, and I think Lennon knows it, that he's also very lucky to have Motherwell."

Lennon Miller already has four goals and two assists for Motherwell this season, with the midfielder scoring only once and laying on three assists for the entirety of the last campaign.

The double against St Mirren was Miller's first goals in the Scottish Premiership and we're sure Rangers won't be the only club keeping tabs on the midfielder.
