Mateus Fernandes could be offered blockbuster exit from Southampton this summer

Southampton midfielder Mateus Fernandes could be offered a blockbuster move in the summer, with Juventus eyeing him up.
That's according to Bianconera News at least, who report that Juventus are monitoring the player ahead of the summer.
They state that Juventus' scouts have picked up on the midfielder as they continue to monitor young talents around Europe.
Fernandes is one of them they have their eye on, with them believing he is a modern playmaker with excellent vision of the game, great mobility and 'refined feet'.
They like that he is universal and capable of playing in front of the defence and further forward and Juventus scouts have even compared him to the great Paulo Sousa.
The Italian side are 'following him carefully' and could move at the end of the season as they continue efforts to strengthen their 'next Gen'. He could even be an immediate addition for the first team.
Of course, Southampton will have something to say on the matter and have the 20-year-old tied to a deal until 2029 anyway so are well protected. With relegation seemingly round the corner, though, they could be targeted, and Juventus will certainly take that into account.
