Stoke City are keen on Wigan Athletic attacking midfielder Thelo Aasgaard, according to journalist Alan Nixon on his Patreon page.

Stoke City want to snap up the League One ace in the upcoming January transfer window. They beat Derby County 2-1 at the Bet365 Stadium in their latest Championship outing this weekend.

Aasgaard, 22, is under contract at Wigan Athletic until the summer of 2028 meaning they are under no pressure to cash in on him this winter and can wait for the right offer to come in for his services. He has made 14 appearances in all competitions and has scored four goals so far this season.

In this latest update regarding his situation, reporter Nixon has claimed on Patreon that he has emerged on the radar of the Potters as they look to bolster their ranks under Narcis Pelach. They may have to fork out a fee in the region of £3million.
