Here's how Andy rated the Lads...

Anthony Patterson: 7/10

Back in the starting line up, coped well with Millwall's direct approach and made some useful saves. Dodgy moment in the first half when he got caught under the ball but thankfully nothing came of it. No chance with the late goal from a counter attack.

Luke O'Nien: 7/10

Shifted to right back and got forward well in the first half while we were on top and got stuck in during the second half when Millwall put us under pressure.

Chris Mepham: 8/10

The type of game where we needed someone with his calibre to step up and he did just that, defended really well until late when he was unable to put a tackle in due to being on a yellow card and the resultant cross ended in the equaliser.

Dan Ballard: 8/10

The perfect game for Ballard to return to the starting line up for, came out on top in a really physical battle with Coburn and won plenty of headers.

Aji Alese: 8/10

Slotted in at left back and like O'Nien he got forward well in the first half but then had to mostly defend after the break. Won lots of aerial balls and coped well with Esse.

Dan Neil (C): 7/10

Had to put a real shift in with only Rigg alongside him and although the midfield got overran after the break Neil competed well in the middle of the pitch.

Chris Rigg: 7/10

Put a good defensive shift today, some neat touches on the ball but a more disciplined game than usual from Rigg due to the midfield having one less player than usual.

Eliezer Mayenda: 7/10

Was really lively down the right when he got the chance to run at his man, cut inside to good effect a few times and was always an option on the break.

Aaron Connolly: 6/10

Great volleyed finish for his goal and worked hard for the team before he went off with an injury but quite quiet in open play.

Tommy Watson: 6/10

Looked lively before the break, troubling the Millwall right back but then had to track back far too much to help out Alese.

Wilson Isidor: 6/10

Put in a lot of yards up top but without much reward, did almost set up Aleksic at the death with a good ball over the top.

Substitutes

Milan Aleksic: 6/10

A tidy display for the debutant, showed some nice touches and had an eye for a pass but unfortunately he couldn't finish off the game in injury time when one-on-one with the goalkeeper and that led directly to the equaliser.

Man of the Match: Chris Mepham

Was caught out very late on the break for Millwall's equaliser but I thought he was our best player regardless of that late blip. The other three defenders also did their part but Mepham was a controlled presence throughout and read the game so well.
