Fan Focus: Sheffield United fan Jonno is predicting a win for Chris Wilder's side vs Sunderland!
Ahead of tonight's match, we spoke to Sheffield United fan Jonno of The Shoreham View, Who should we be wary of?
Sheffield United currently sit joint top of the Championship - is your return to this level going better than you expected?
This season is going very well despite the big changes made to the playing squad. I think because our recruitment was very good, this has been a key factor in our success.
I wanted to see a top-six finish at least, so fighting for automatics is better than expected.
Chris Wilder was the man who led the club to promotion and a top-half Premier League finish during his first stint. Is it the case that he just gets the club and how to make it succeed?
Yes, that is exactly right!
Chris Wilder just gets Sheffield United, the passion he has for the club is so important and probably the reason he's been so successful.
Sheffield United have conceded just two goals at home, winning seven out of eight fixtures - what makes you so strong at Bramall Lane?
Defensively we have been awesome and the only 2 goals conceded at Bramall Lane were when newly signed goalkeeper Michael Cooper wasn't playing.
After last season's unwanted goals against record this was the most important area that needed upgrading.
We have three quality centre-backs and multiple full-backs just working so well together and it's a joy to see.
Kieffer Moore was wanted by some Sunderland fans in the summer to add experience - how has he got on so far?
Keiffer Moore has had a mixed reaction with our fans, some love him some don't rate him.
Personally, I really like him, his hold-up play has been really good and gives us that aerial threat.
Unfortunately, his injury came at a bad time as he had just started a spell of good form that was keeping the haters quiet.
Aside from him, which of your new signings have impressed you most so far?
I could name all of the new recruits to be honest as we have done some really good business over the summer but Cooper has to be the stand-out signing for a real steal of a reported £2m.
Souttar coming in on loan from Leicester would be a close second.
Out of the players you have kept from the Premier League, who would you say has been most important?
The most important player we kept is easily Vini Souza, he's just a cheat code for this division, such an important player.
He has the most tackles in the league and his pass success rate must be really good.
Initially known for a back-three with overlapping centre-backs, what does Chris Wilder's new-look team look like tactically?
Tactically it's nice to see that we can change it up we've been playing with wingers but can change it up to play the old 3 at the back.
Although we did this against Leeds which obviously didn't work. As for overlapping centre-backs, it's not the same as they used to be but they do like to get forward and get involved with the attacks.
Are any players missing and what is your expected starting XI?
We will be missing Anel Ahmedhodzic due to suspension and the young talent and captain of Ollie Arblaster who may be out for the season They both are a big miss but with our squad depth the replacements are just as good as in Peck and Robinson.
Cooper, Burrows, Robinson, Souttar, Gilchrist, Souza, Peck, O'Hare. Hamer, Campbel, Rak-Sakyi.
Lastly, what is your score prediction for the match?
I'm going for a 2-1 Sheffield United win.
