The difficult games just keep on coming for Tottenham Hotspur of late, and the threat of a fourth straight defeat is very much lingering as a trip to Liverpool awaits the Lilywhites this weekend. Here’s what former Spurs boss, Harry Redknapp, expects from the game.

Spurs have now lost their last three matches, with London derby defeats against Chelsea and Arsenal this week, and the 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Newcastle still fairly fresh in the memory.

Ange Postecoglou‘s men are almost certain to land in fifth place in the Premier League this season, with Aston Villa likely too far ahead in the table going into the final four games.

It’s been a difficult time for Liverpool, too, though. The Anfield outfit crashed out of the Europa League last week, and have suffered defeats at the hands of Crystal Palace and fierce rivals Everton of late to all but relinquish their challenge for the title in Jurgen Klopp’s farewell season.

Redknapp predicts Liverpool victory on Sunday

So, who will come out victorious on Sunday when these two stuttering sides meet? Harry Redknapp offered his thoughts to BetVictor.

Redknapp said: “It's all been very strange for Liverpool recently. The incident with Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp was very unusual and not a great look. They've only got two home games left under Klopp so the atmosphere will be brilliant, these lads owe it to Klopp to end the season with a few wins.

“It was typical Tottenham, typical Ange Postecoglou last week in the North London derby. That game was just crazy at times. Cristian Romero was playing as a striker for some of that second half! They showed a lot of heart but some of that set-piece defending was really poor from them.

“They were even worse at Stamford Bridge, that was a disaster. Ange was furious after that one and wants a big response from his side here. Spurs will fancy this and realistically, they probably need something from it. I just can't see Liverpool continuing this poor run though, 2-1."

I like to be optimistic, but I can’t see us winning this one. There’s no way Liverpool are going to let down Klopp in one of his final home games, and the way we are playing right now, it might not be much of a contest. Then, there’s the fact that Liverpool will want revenge for us winning earlier this season, too. I can see a 3-1 Liverpool win, sadly.
