This season at Tottenham has frequently made for confusing, if not tough, viewing. A lot of Premier League fans and pundits were quick to dismiss his achievements elsewhere. The A-League, the J-League, and Scotland have been publicly sneered at.

Alas, football is a results-based business and the Australian's numbers simply don't add up. One starts to sense that Postecoglou's run of ten games in his opening season was part of a new manager bounce, and the Aussie's win rate doesn't bear thinking about if one factors that in!

One massive advantage of AI is worth mentioning at this point, as it has now become noticeable in the sphere of Mickey taking, where it is now commonplace to see images of football people, including our very own current coach, Ange Postecoglou, either in character roles such as a circus clown, a gladiator and this week, I am pretty sure I saw the Australian mocked up as Jesus. Football fans looking for platforms offering online AI image generator have never had so much choice when it comes to poking fun at the game's famous faces.

What does the future hold for Spurs under Ange? Well, one obvious observation is that Daniel Levy might be disinclined to return to the managerial market, given the fiasco that took place last time. There's also plenty to suggest that Postecoglou was some way down the batting order when it came to candidates… If Levy were to go ahead and sack Ange, another issue has to be that under Ryan Mason our form has been equally uninspiring, so it's not as if anyone in-house could offer anything of note.

Injuries also matter in the equation. They are not interesting to talk about – any conversation about them ends with. 'Everyone has them, you just have to find a way', but they can define seasons. If important players are injured in positions where you have limited cover, you will get fewer points. To be without your first-choice goalkeeper and centre-backs for such an extended period probably means Spurs should be suffering somewhat, but are Ange's attack-focused tactics making matters worse? Again, it's tough to navigate through the conjecture.

Whatever might happen, we won't need to wait long. Bryan King, a former scout at Spurs recently said:

"I like Postecoglou, I like his approach, his direct nature and his honesty. However, things aren't working at that football club as they should be working. Spurs have to avoid defeat on Sunday otherwise I fancy that there will be changes, certainly with the manager, that is for sure."

Once again, over to you, Daniel.
