Coach says Tottenham player focused on convincing Ange – Hints at potential transfer

Radu Drăgușin arrived at Tottenham from Genoa last January after it it took some effort from the English giants to land the Romanian.
Beating Bayern Munich in the transfer chase was obviously a big plus for Spurs, and the player’s agent, who hasn’t stopped talking since, insisted Drăgușin’s choice didn’t have anything to do with money.
The centre-back has played only twice in the Premier League for Tottenham so far this season and there’s been talk of an early exit.
Now, it is Romania boss Mircea Lucescu who has spoken about what Drăgușin is aiming for with Spurs.
In a chat with Gazzetta dello Sport, he said: “Radu is always a starter for us in the national team, he is growing and will become a great defender. Now he is focused on carving out spaces for himself at Tottenham."
He went on to suggest Juventus as a potential destination for Drăgușin, if things don’t go right for him this season.
"But if he were to continue to play little in England, if I were at Juve I would think about it: he is young, he knows Serie A and the world of Juventus. As a coach I am only interested in Drăgușin playing and being happy, the rest is evaluations by managers and it is not up to me."
The defender is a product of the Juve youth academy and a return might be something that appeals to him.
As it stands, Drăgușin will have to be patient and hope for better.
