Journalist slams 'dreadful' Tottenham star after awful performance against Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur's struggles in the Premier League continued with a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage, leaving them languishing in 14th place.
After a lacklustre first half where neither side created much, Fulham took control in the second period.
Rodrigo Muniz broke the deadlock with a clinical finish following a well-worked move from Andreas Pereira.
Ryan Sessegnon then sealed the win against his former club with a superb curling effort into the top corner, exposing Spurs' defensive frailties.
Alasdair Gold slams Yves Bissouma's performance
While the entire team underperformed, journalist Alasdair Gold singled out Yves Bissouma for a particularly poor display.
Gold criticised the midfielder's decision-making, stating that Bissouma looked unsettled in possession and frequently misplaced passes, disrupting Spurs' build-up play.
The 28-year-old's struggles did not go unnoticed by Ange Postecoglou, who opted to substitute him at halftime, bringing on Lucas Bergvall in an attempt to regain control in midfield.
This decision further underlined the manager's dissatisfaction with Bissouma's performance.
On his X account, Gold remarked:
"Yves Bissouma has been dreadful in possession so far when Spurs have been moving up the pitch. Panicked passes, either too powerful, misplaced or putting team-mates under pressure."
Since joining Tottenham from Brighton in 2022 for £30 million, Bissouma has been a key part of the squad.
His first season was marred by inconsistency and injuries, but he started the 2023–24 campaign strongly, earning back-to-back Man of the Match awards.
He also made headlines with his yellow card against Manchester City last November, receiving a booking just 14 seconds into the match.
This season, Bissouma has featured in 35 games across all competitions, contributing two Premier League goals.
However, his inconsistent performances have raised questions about his long-term future at the club, especially with his contract set to expire next year.
With Tottenham expected to make key signings in the summer transfer window, the coming months could be decisive in determining whether Bissouma remains part of Postecoglou's plans or if Spurs look to bring in a replacement.
