Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou's future at the club remains uncertain following their season.

Spurs currently sit 14th in the league with just 34 points, having won only 10 games while losing 15. They have also been knocked out of all the domestic competitions, including the FA Cup, and the League Cup.

With just a handful of matches remaining, the Europa League presents the only realistic chance for Spurs to salvage their season.

According to reports, chairman Daniel Levy has made it clear to Postecoglou that securing European football for next season is a minimum requirement to keep his job. Failure to qualify could result in his dismissal at the end of the campaign.

The Australian's relationship with the fan is not the best at the moment either, having clashed with them several times this season.

Tottenham insider on Ange Postecoglou's future and potential replacements

Given the uncertainty regarding Postecoglou's future, it is likely that there will be a managerial change at the end of the season. That is according to reliable club insider Paul O'Keefe,  who claims that the club has identified several managerial candidates, with no clear frontrunner at this stage.

Among the names being considered are:

  • Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth) – Highly regarded for his pressing system and attacking philosophy, He has done an incredible job with the Cherries this season, with the club sitting 10th in the table, just 5 points behind 4th placed Chelsea.
  • Marco Silva (Fulham) – An experienced Premier League manager who has done an impressive job at Fulham with limited resources. Fulham sit at 8th this season, just 5 points behind the final Champions League spot.
  • Thomas Frank (Brentford) – Another Premier League manager who has done a great job with a mid-table club and limited resources.
  • Edin Terzić – Has experience at a high level and could bring European pedigree. He reached the Champions League final with Borussia Dortmund last season, only to lose to Real Madrid.
  • Filippo Inzaghi – The Italian manager has built a strong reputation in Italy and could be a great coup for Spurs. He is also liked by Fabio Paratici who is a close advisor to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

Tottenham's fixture list does not get any easier, with key matches coming up that could define their season. Postecoglou's ability to rally his squad and deliver a strong finish will likely determine whether he remains in charge beyond the summer.

However, if Spurs fail to secure European qualification, it appears increasingly likely that Daniel Levy will once again be searching for a new manager.
