Tottenham Hotspur are set to make key decisions regarding their squad ahead of the summer transfer window, with both reinforcements and potential loan moves on the agenda.
Among the players who could be sent out on loan is Wilson Odobert, as Spurs look to provide him with regular first-team opportunities to aid his development.
According to Fichajes.net, Tottenham are in discussions with Brighton & Hove Albion over a potential loan move for the French winger, and Odobert himself is reportedly open to the idea.
The 20-year-old has endured a challenging season due to injuries. After making a bright start following his arrival from Burnley last summer, he suffered a serious hamstring injury during an EFL Cup tie against Coventry City in September. That setback sidelined him for months, and he eventually required surgery, keeping him out of action for 27 games.
The versatile winger made his long-awaited return in February, coming off the bench in Spurs' 1-0 win over Manchester United. He then announced his comeback in style, delivering a match-winning performance in Tottenham's crucial 3-1 Europa League victory over AZ Alkmaar recently, where he scored a brace in the second leg of the Round of 16.
Despite his undeniable talent, Odobert has had limited opportunities this season, making just 12 appearances across all competitions while netting three goals in less than 600 minutes of play. With his development in mind, a loan move to Brighton could provide him with consistent playing time in the Premier League.
Brighton are reportedly keen on securing the France U23 international on a temporary deal, and discussions between the two clubs are ongoing.
While Odobert has shown glimpses of his potential, it remains to be seen whether Ange Postecoglou sees him as ready for a more prominent role at Spurs next season or believes a loan spell would be the best path for his progression.
