Tottenham Hotspur target Renato Veiga is expected to be available for a relatively modest fee this summer, but the Lilywhites have one major roadblock to overcome to land the player.
With reports over recent weeks continuing to suggest that Cristian Romero is likely to leave Tottenham this summer, the North London club may already be on the lookout for potential reinforcements at centre-back.
It has been revealed that one player who has caught the eye of the Lilywhites is a Chelsea youngster who is impressing on loan in the Serie A.
Over the past couple of weeks, multiple outlets have reported that Tottenham are eyeing a move for Renato Veiga, who has impressed at Juventus since his temporary move in the January window.

Football Insider have now become the latest outlet to report on Spurs’ interest in Veiga and they claim that the centre-back is expected to be on the shop window this summer.
The outlet says that even though Chelsea only signed the 21-year-old from Basel last summer, they are ready to make a quick profit on him.
The Blues are allegedly willing to cash in on the Portugal international for just £30m this summer, with Ange Postecoglou’s men said to be weighing up an offer.

However, Football Insider say that the sources that they have spoken to doubt if Spurs will be able to get a deal for the centre-back over the line.
This is because while Chelsea are happy to sell Veiga, they might be hesitant to sell the young defender to their London rivals, with the publication pointing out that two clubs hardly ever do business.
The report adds that Tottenham Hotspur may also hesitate to pay £30m for a player who is yet to have a full season of football at the highest level.
