Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on signing the Barcelona striker Vitor Roque.

According to Caught Offside, Tottenham are keeping a close eye on his current situation and the Brazilian could be on the move soon. He is currently on loan at Real Betis, but his performances have not been up to the mark.

Barcelona are prepared to sell the player permanently, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get the deal done. Barcelona are hoping to improve their attacking unit and they have identified Viktor Gyokeres as a potential target. They are hoping to use Roque in a deal for the Swedish international so that they can bring the asking price down.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham come forward with an official offer to sign the South American striker. They could certainly use more quality and depth in the attacking unit.

The 19-year-old Brazilian was highly rated before his move to Barcelona and he could be an important player for Tottenham in the long term if they can help him unlock his true potential. Roque was likened to the former Brazilian icon Ronaldo due to stylistic similarities. He was expected to develop into a world-class player in the near future.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the best out of him.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be quite attractive for the 19-year-old attacker and he will look to test himself in English football. It is evident that he needs a fresh start and a move to North London would be ideal for all parties.

Tottenham will face competition from Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Brentford for the highly rated attacker. It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.
