Tottenham 'monitoring' Man United and Liverpool target, 28-year-old dreams of PL move

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the German international defender Jonathan Tah.

According to a report from German publication BILD, the 28-year-old dreams of a move to the Premier League and the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool are keen on him as well.

The report states that Tottenham are 'monitoring' his situation and they could look to make a move for him in the near future. He will be out of contract in the summer of 2025, and he could be available for a nominal price in January.

Tottenham need another quality central defender and the German international would be an exceptional acquisition. He has shown his quality in the Bundesliga and he helped Bayer Leverkusen win the league last season. 

He will be hoping to showcase his qualities in English football now, and Tottenham could provide him with that opportunity. 

Meanwhile, Liverpool need to plan for a future without the likes of Virgil van Dijk. The Dutch international defender is in his 30s and Tah would be a quality long-term replacement. It will be interesting to see if they can win the race for his signature. 

Similarly, Manchester United are keeping tabs on him as well. He could be the ideal alternative alternative to Harry Maguire, who has been linked with the move away from Old Trafford. 

All three clubs would represent an excellent opportunity for the defender and it remains to be seen where the German international ends up. He will probably hope to join a club where he will be able to compete for major trophies. The likes of Liverpool can certainly provide him with that opportunity.

Tottenham must look to secure UEFA Champions League qualification if they want to attract top-quality players like Tah.
