Stop us if you've heard this one before but Tottenham's Bryan Gil has picked up an injury on loan, this time at Girona.
That's according to the Spanish club's official account on X, who have reported today that the winger is out of tomorrow's game against Valencia with a sprained right knee.
They add that the Tottenham loanee is facing a spell on the sidelines and further medical tests are pending to see how long he will be out.
The 24-year-old has been on loan with the Spanish side since the summer, the latest in a series of loan deals away from Tottenham since joining them in 2021.
He had been impressing, with four goals and three assists in 32 games in all competitions so but hasn't scored or assisted in his last six league games. Now he faces a spell on the sidelines, waiting further tests on this knee injury.
It's a continuation of a trend for Gil, who has often started well on his loan deals before seeing that curtailed by an injury of some sort.
The hope for him, and Tottenham, will be that he isn't injured long-term as both eye a potential exit in the summer.
