After Tottenham complete the deal to sign Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray, their attention should turn towards a breakout Euro 2024 attacker.

It looks as though Tottenham are in pole position to sign Gray this summer after a proposed move to Brentford fell through.

The highly rated 18-year-old had completed the first part of his medical at the West London club but they failed to agree a deal with Leeds.

Now, Gray seems to be on his way to North London and he should be joined by one breakout Euro 2024 attacker who’d be a great signing.

Tottenham should try to sign Georges Mikautadze

Spurs have failed to replace Harry Kane since his departure last summer and whilst it’s an extremely tough task to achieve, they can add two or three players in the forward line to contribute in front of goal.

One of those additions should be Georgia striker Georges Mikautadze, who is the current top scorer at Euro 2024 in Germany with three – tied level with Jamal Musiala.

Mikautadze spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Metz from Ajax, netting 13 times whilst laying on four assists across just 20 league appearances.

He is expected to leave this summer as West Ham United, Everton and Leicester City circle, though, it’s Monaco who currently lead the race.

Spurs should seriously consider launching a proposal for the 23-year-old as he’d be the perfect forward to add as depth with the scope to become a regular in Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Tottenham Hotspur need another midfielder

The potential arrival of Gray and perhaps a forward like Mikautadze would be a brilliant start to the window but the North Londoners are still lacking a top-level six.

If they’re to go up a level and become an established Champions League club, they must invest in a top-class defensive midfielder who can receive the ball off defenders under pressure.

There’s plenty of work left to do.
