Brian Brobbey is one striker to follow closely. Still only 22 years of age, making his debut four years ago in league match vs. Fortuna Sittard. Since then he has not looked back and scored 31 goals in 66 outings for Ajax.

Brobbey has been a player known for every scout in Europe, being part of the Dutch youth international teams from the U.15’s and up the U.21’s. He made his full international debut in 2023 against Greece, and has since added three more caps to his name, staying on 4 so far.

Ajax managed to keep their golden asset into this season, but in January talks are that he can be moving on, having Premier League as the favourite place to land. There have been talks about Man Utd, but other clubs could of course enter the race.

Brobbey is a physical character, but still not the tallest of players, having pace as a special attribute, and sometimes critisized for not having the close control needed to be up there, coming close to the best attackers in the game. The tally so far this season needs to improve, only 2 goals in 10 games so far.

Brobby was called up to the next internationals in Nations League vs. Hungary and Germany. He is in stiff competition with other forwards, being Zirkzee (Man Utd), Gakpo (Liverpool), Kluivert (Bournemouth) and Malen (Dortmund).

Despite a bit of goal drought at the moment, Ronald Koeman keeps him in, and that should be lifting confidence for the 22 year old, who looks a special man, and could be one we will see in the better leagues of Europe in the future.

Ajax played Slavia Prague in Europa League on Thursday the 3rd of October, ending in a 1-1 draw, Brobbey leaving the field after 57 minutes, next up is tomorrow’s home fixture vs. Groningen.
