Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray’s reaction to the full-time whilst against Hoffenheim proves what Daniel Levy must do this month.

The teenage duo both impressed in Tottenham’s crucial 3-2 win over Hoffenheim which saw Ange Postecoglou’s team move into the top eight of the group stage.

A Son Heung-min brace and another from James Maddison secured the three points for Spurs and will alleviate some of the pressure on Postecoglou.

But what Bergvall and Gray did after the win was a strong indication of the big error Levy is currently making.

How Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray reacted to the full-time whistle vs Hoffenheim

Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray were both spotted collapsing to the floor in exhaustion after the full-time whistle sounded against Hoffenheim.

Both teenagers put in tremendous shifts against the Bundesliga side to help Tottenham secure a vital win in the Europa League.

The 18-year-old duo have been heavily relied upon by Postecoglou over recent weeks, with Gray having started in each of the last 11 matches.

It’s a lot of pressure to be putting on young shoulders, however, amid an injury crisis in North London, the two youngsters have really stepped up.

The mistake Daniel Levy is making at Tottenham

Tottenham travelled to Germany with 14 players unavailable and could only name an eight-man bench which included two goalkeepers and six teenagers.

Postecoglou’s squad is on its knees and in desperate need of new signings through the door to help the players who are available.

Spurs’ injury crisis is nothing new, the Lilywhites have been struggling with injuries for several months now and the January window was a time they needed to be active.

However, that just hasn’t been the case and as of January 23, Antonin Kinsky is the only new signing to arrive through the door at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Postecoglou revealed no new signings are imminent which has left Tottenham fans in despair at their situation in the transfer window.

So, with less than two weeks remaining, Daniel Levy must step up and help his manager and players who are crying out for support in the transfer market.
