There is a surprise twist in the Randal Kolo Muani saga with Arsenal reportedly entering the race to sign him.

The PSG star has been linked with a move away this month with several clubs interested in signing him. Among the clubs strongly linked with him are Tottenham, Juventus and Manchester United.

It was reported last week that Daniel Levy has personally flown to negotiate a deal with PSG to secure the versatile attacker's services. The latest report from French outlet Lequipe claimed that the North London club have submitted a bid for a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Juventus have also submitted a bid of their own, and are considered among the favourites to land him. However, they are reportedly struggling to meet the wage demands of the player.

Despite receiving bids from both Tottenham and Juventus, it has been suggested that PSG are in no hurry to finalise a deal. The Ligue 1 champions are waiting to assess all potential offers before making a decision on Kolo Muani's next move.

And indeed, a late offer could come from Tottenham's London rivals Arsenal in a latest twist in the saga.  According to Sky Italy, the Gunners are one of the clubs "keeping an eye" on the 26-year-old.

While Spurs have offered a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent, PSG are looking for either a permanent sale or a loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

Arsenal's injury crisis deepened with the confirmation of Gabriel Jesus' ACL injury earlier tonight. The club revealed that the player will now undergo a surgery which could mean the end of his season.

With Saka already out till March, the club needs immediate reinforcements and a versatile attacker like Kolo Muani could be an ideal option for the Gunners.

Kolo Muani joined PSG in the summer for a staggering €90 million from Eintracht Frankfurt, but his debut season in Paris has been underwhelming.

Under manager Luis Enrique, the 26-year-old has managed just two goals and one assist in 14 appearances across all competitions, struggling to replicate the form that made him one of Europe's hottest attacking prospects.

But the French international's performances at Eintracht Frankfurt are evidence of his immense potential.

During the 2022–23 Bundesliga season, Kolo Muani contributed 15 goals and 11 assists, establishing himself as one of the most dynamic attackers in the league. In total, he scored 26 goals and provided 17 assists during his time at the German club, attracting attention from several top European teams.

Will Arsenal hijack a move from under their arch rivals noses or if there is still more in this transfer saga, it remains to be seen.
