Arsenal left it late to secure all three points in Saturday’s Premier League victory over Leicester City.

The Gunners ran out 4-2 winners over the Foxes, who were drawing 2-2 up until the fourth minute of injury time.

Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring in the 20th minute of the game before Leandro Trossard doubled Arsenal’s lead on the stroke of half-time.

However, Leicester rallied round as James Justin scored a brace, including a superb volley off the post, to deflate the Emirates Stadium.

Meanwhile, Foxes goalkeeper Mads Hermansen frustrated Arsenal time and time again, and it just didn’t seem to be the hosts’ day.

Until the 94th minute, that is, when a corner – unsurprisingly – was swung in, Trossard kept it alive, and Wilfred Ndidi put it through his own net by mistake.

Arsenal then got a fourth three minutes later as Gabriel Jesus broke with pace before the ball fell to Kai Havertz and trickled over the line, with VAR deeming it a goal.

Although Trossard took the spotlight thanks to his brace, Martinelli was the man who got the ball rolling for the Gunners.

He ended his goal drought by netting from Jurrien Timber’s low cross and ended the first half with an assist for Trossard on the stroke of half-time.

Martin Keown loved what he saw from the £6million man, telling BBC Sport: "Martinelli is flying again. He has the goals going in again and Arsenal will need him."

Admittedly, Martinelli wasn’t quite as rampant in the second half before being replaced by Raheem Sterling, but all in all it was a very productive afternoon for the Brazilian.
