'Back it up': Alan Pardew left stunned by what he's hearing about £34m Liverpool player

Mohamed Salah is one of the best players in the world, but one talkSPORT pundit recently raised doubts on the Liverpool forward.
Salah has proved to be a bargain signing for Liverpool. The £34 million Egypt international forward has become a legend of the Premier League club.
Since signing for Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, Salah, described as "underrated" by Micah Richards, has scored 221 goals and provided 99 assists in all competitions for Liverpool.
The 32-year-old has won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool.
Troy Deeney, though, does not think that Salah is world class. The former Premier League striker made the controversial comments on talkSPORT recently.
Alan Pardew gives his verdict on Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah
Alan Pardew has responded to those comments on the same radio station, and he has taken an entirely different viewpoint.
The former Newcastle United and West Ham United manager could not believe that Deeney said that Salah is not world class.
The talkSPORT pundit has noted how efficient Salah is and has pointed out that Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid looks good to the eye because of his tricks.
The Brazil international winger has scored 12 goals and given seven assists in all competitions for Madrid so far this season.
As for Salah, the Liverpool ace has scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions so far this campaign.
When asked if Salah is world class or not in response to Deeney's comments, Pardew said: "Yes. The numbers. If you have to look at his numbers, you would have to say he is.
"When you look at the international team that he is playing for, unfortunately, a little bit like Ian Rush when he was at Wales, hasn't really got the platform to do at world level with his country.
"It's all good having an opinion, but if you are going to have an opinion, back it up with some stats or some facts or some kind of foundation.
"I don't know where Troy is coming from with a foundation because Vinicius (Junior) obviously has got more tricks. He's a little bit more flamboyant, maybe that's what he was aiming his conversation at.
"Mo is no thrills. There's no frills. It's efficiency that he's about."
How does Mohamed Salah compare to Vinicius Junior?
