'By a mile': Glenn Hoddle says £25m player has been way better than anyone else at Spurs this season

Tottenham Hotspur are having a really strange season so far.
Spurs are underperforming, they're 10th in the Premier League, and they head to Manchester City this weekend off the back of a loss against Ipswich.

However, it hasn't all been doom and gloom for Tottenham.
Spurs have put in some very good performances this season, they thrashed Manchester United and Aston Villa earlier in the campaign, and some of their star players have been performing very well.
Brennan Johnson has earned plenty of praise for his showings, while Micky Van de Ven has also been hailed as outstanding.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, Glenn Hoddle has been discussing Tottenham's performances this season, and he's claimed that Dejan Kulusevski has actually been Spurs' best player by a mile this term.

Dejan Kulusevski has been Tottenham's best player
Hoddle shared his verdict on who Spurs' best player has been this season.
The pundit says that Kulusevski has been Tottenham's best player by a mile this term.
"He's come alive. If you said to me who is the best player at Tottenham this season so far, it's Kulusevski by a mile. He loves it in that position. I think he had a spell there with Juventus. There are certain games where the pair of them have played, but since he put Sarr in there for that energy, that's the midfield he wants the balance for."
Why Dejan Kulusevski has improved
As Hoddle says, Kulusevski has been Spurs' top performer this season, and it's not hard to pinpoint why he has improved so much.
Indeed, the £25m man has moved into a more central position as of late, and that role seriously suits him.
The stats show that Kulusevski is way more effective centrally than he is out wide.

Games | 103 | 70 |
Goals | 19 | 31 |
Assists | 25 | 25 |
Kulusevski's career stats show that he's much more influential when playing in midfield, and that has translated into some brilliant performances this term.
Sadly, not everyone in the Spurs squad has been at the same level as Kulusevski this term, and that's why Tottenham are currently in midtable.
Fingers crossed the rest of Kulusevski's teammates can step up to his level, because this could shape up to be a disappointing season for Spurs if their current slump continues.
