Chelsea sold him for just £5m, now he's fired them above the Blues in the Premier League table

Chelsea fans might be starting to look back and wonder about their decision to sell Callum Hudson-Odoi as he continues to shine at Nottingham Forest.
The 23-year-old, who came up through Chelsea's academy, fired in his second league goal of the season at the weekend to give Forest a win over West Ham that puts them third in the Premier League table.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are just below them in fourth and probably won't be panicking yet about finishing below a team like Forest, who are most likely over-achieving for the time being, rather than mounting a serious challenge for a Champions League place.
Still, Hudson-Odoi has shown signs of being back to his best at the City Ground, having initially looked like a real wonderkid when he first broke into the first-team at Stamford Bridge.
Callum Hudson-Odoi sale – will Chelsea live to regret it?
It might be a bit early to say for sure that this was a major transfer error by Chelsea, as standards are high for a club of this size and Hudson-Odoi simply didn't do enough to impress while he was with the Blues.
Despite a bright start, CHO's performances faded a little, and he also struggled to make much of an impression whilst on loan at Bayer Leverkusen in 2022/23.

Still, BBC Sport reported that his fee to join Forest was just £5m, or even slightly less, and that is pretty poor for a player whose value will surely have shot up since then.
On top of that, CFC have invested large sums of money in flops like Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk since then, while it's debatable if even recent signing Jadon Sancho is any better than Hudson-Odoi.
It will be interesting to see how the season pans out for Hudson-Odoi and Forest, but we've seen before that Chelsea lived to regret selling some talented youngsters like Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne, so this might well end up being something similar.
