TBR Football have now received information from Everton sources which addresses rumours Sean Dyche could be sacked.

After a run of five Premier League games without a win, which has Everton 16th at the time of writing, doubts have arisen regarding the 53-year-old’s position at Goodison Park.

The Toffees sit just one point above the relegation zone, and with clashes against Aston Villa, Tottenham and Brighton to come, there is understandably pressure on the man born in Kettering to obtain better results.

Now, sources from Everton have provided TBR Football with an update on Sean Dyche.

Everton insist Sean Dyche is safe for now

Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – has now been told the Friedkin Group insist it is business as usual at Goodison Park under the Englishman for now.

Everton sources state that a meeting on Monday was not designed to discuss Dyche’s future, and he will be given a chance to turn the situation around.

However – despite this stance – there are still a handful of managers the Friedkin Group admire as Everton’s new owners carry out their due diligence.

TBR Football understand Graham Potter – who West Ham are considering – is highly thought of at Goodison Park, as is Gareth Southgate, who became Sir Gareth Southgate in the New Year Honours List.

Sources have also informed TBR Football that David Moyes is ready to return to Everton if Dyche is dismissed.

Everton in talks to sign Jaden Philogene permanently

TBR Football have also heard some finer details regarding news of Everton opening talks with Aston Villa over Jaden Philogene.

It is believed Everton – who also like Tom Fellows – will find it difficult to terminate Jack Harrison’s loan from Leeds United and Armando Broja’s loan from Chelsea this month, so talks are actually taking place to sign Philogene on a permanent deal.

Premier League rules state that clubs can only have two domestic loans at a time, so the Toffees are currently unable to sign the England U21 international on anything other than a permanent deal.
