As it stands right now, both Tottenham and Arsenal could do with some added impetus in their teams attacking play and Wolves forward Matheus Cunha might well be the man to provide it.

Cunha impressed fans yesterday as he scored and set up another as Wolves beat Manchester United to pile the misery on Ruben Amorim further.

The Brazilian forward is very much a key part of the turnaround going on at Wolves right now under Vitor Pereira and it’s no surprise he is being linked with a move elsewhere.

Tottenham are big fans of Cunha, while The Telegraph reported over the weekend have claimed Arsenal are keen on Cunha as well.

And while Wolves won’t want to lose their star man, former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has lauded Cunha and suggested he could well be on his way soon.

Michael Owen tips Matheus Cunha for big move after Man United display

Speaking about Cunha at the end of the Wolves v Man United game for Premier League productions, Owen lauded the striker and suggested that he very much looks like being the next one to depart Molineux.

“An incredible turnaround. They've got the individuals to put on a good show, they've not really been doing it this season,” Owen said.

“Cunha might be the next one to leave, he's top class. Scored the first, created the second. Two games, six points, talk about the bounce factor when a new manager comes in."

Matheus Cunha stats show he’s the real deal

Some players are just destined for bigger and better things and Matheus Cunha is one of those players.

That is not being disrespectful to Wolves. But the striker looks to have the qualities to be able to play at an even higher level.

Ten goals already this season builds on the impressive 14 he his last term as he almost single-handedly helped keep Wolves in the division.

Wolves are very much a stepping stone club for some and we’ve seen the likes of Diogo Jota, Ruben Neves, and Matheus Nunes all move on to pastures new.

Right now, it looks like Cunha is going to be the next one to follow.
