England fans could be handed a major boost ahead of the upcoming international break as the extent of Harry Kane's injury has yet to be determined.
Bayern Munich played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday and the match saw the Englishman substituted during the second half following a collision which required treatment on his right thigh area, reports The Independent.
The 31-year-old walked off of the pitch before being replaced by Mathys Tel, but the signs of him being fit for England did not look good.
However, Bayern Munich have confirmed that the extent of Kane's injury is still pending, while also stating that Dayot Upamecano and Mathys Tel will not join the French national team due to their fitness issues.
The Bundesliga giants said via Fabrizio Romano: "Harry Kane will be examined by the England doctors as the final diagnosis is still pending."
Kane will meet up with the rest of the England squad ahead of their UEFA Nations League matches against Finland and Greece with more on his injury set to be revealed later in the week.
Harry Kane's availability would be a huge boost for England
Although England will not need Kane to overcome Finland and Greece, the striker's presence is always welcomed around the Three Lions camp and the Bayern Munich star will want to add to his legacy with the national team.
Last time out was the former Tottenham star's 100th appearance for England and he marked the occasion by scoring a brace against Finland.
That took his total for the Three Lions to 68 and the upcoming matches are another opportunity to add to this, should the 31-year-old be passed fit.
