Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier has interest from Leicester City as a potential Mads Hermansen replacement, according to TEAMtalk.

Leeds United are on the verge of promotion back to the Premier League. LUFC’s improved form of late combined with Sheffield United’s three-game run of defeats puts them and Burnley on the brink of confirming a top-two spot.

The Whites can win promotion won Easter Monday if they beat Stoke City and the Blades fail to beat the Clarets, who face off in a huge game at 20:00.

All eyes are on on-pitch matters today, but transfer speculation continues to circulate ahead of what could be a huge summer transfer window. The Elland Road outfit will be embarking on a big spell of recruitment regardless of whether promotion is sealed or not.

Now, reports have claimed one Leeds United man attracting interest is goalkeeper Illan Meslier.

TEAMtalk states that relegated Premier League side Leicester City are considering the 25-year-old as a potential replacement for Mads Hermansen, who is attracting strong interest and looks likely to be sold.

Clubs in his native France are also keen. Stade Rennais and SC Strasbourg are among the overseas admirers of the Leeds United shot-stopper, who is being widely tipped for an exit this summer.
