Liverpool are a team of great standards and looks to have taken new steps under their new manager Arne Slot, with a certain policy being in place for player recruitment, maintenance and internal growth.

One of the younger players who looks very promising is defender Jarrel Quansah. The 21 year old defender has a special presence, but not yet being a certainty under Arne Slot.

On 21 May 2024, Quansah was announced as a provisional member of the expanded 33- member England squad that participated in the 2024 Euros, his first call-up to the senior team. On 6 June 2024, England manager Gareth Southgate left Quansah out of the final 26-man squad.

Quansah is yet to make his England debut, and of course with only 18 league games to count for Liverpool, he could still be far from his England call up.

This season has been on the fringe with only two appearances in the first team count. He is a regular in the game squad, but Arne Slot has not yet given the young and promising defender a chance to shine.

Would of course be a great loss to see him not getting a chance in the heart of the Liverpool defence, but with Virgil Van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate in there, both being proven internationals for Holland and France, you have grand competition.

Jarrel Quansah started the first game of the season vs. Ipswich, but has since not been involved in Premier League action. Hopefully the talented England U.21 internatioal will come good as he certainly have a special capacity and can turn into a legendary “Anfield Great”.
