Manchester United are hoping to sign Dusan Vlahović from Juventus this month.
According to a report from Fichajes, they are in advanced talks with the Italian club to sign the Serbian International in a swap deal. The Red Devils will offer Joshua Zirkzee to the Italian club.
The two clubs are reportedly willing to complete the transfer and it remains to be seen whether they can iron out an agreement quickly.
Zirkzee has not been able to hit the ground running in the Premier League and he is struggling to adapt to English football. A return to Italy could be ideal for him and regular football at Juventus could bring out the best in him once again.
Vlahovic could transform Man United
Meanwhile, Manchester United need a quality striker and Vlahovic has the physicality and technical attributes to thrive in English football. He is highly rated across Europe and he could be a key player for the Red Devils. Apart from his ability to score goals, his physicality and aerial prowess could add a new dimension to the Manchester United attack.
The 24-year-old is still quite young, and he is likely to improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into a top-class player for Manchester United with the right guidance.
Former Juventus star Alessio Tacchinardi described Vlahovic as an "extraordinary player" once.
He said: "He is an extraordinary player. He's very good at waiting for the defender, then puts his shoulder, moves him. He's a bit lucky in the rebound, but many compliments to this player."
The Serbian will look to prove himself in English football and the opportunity to join a big club like Manchester United will be quite attractive for him. The Red Devils are going through a period of rebuilding and they will be hoping to fight for major trophies in the coming months. Signing a quality striker like him could prove to be a wise decision.
