Mikel Arteta pushing Arsenal to make significant transfer bid for brilliant midfield all-rounder
Today at 01:19 AM
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly eager for the club to sign AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, with a big-money move now looking realistic.
The Netherlands international is in superb form for Milan at the moment, and it seems this has persuaded the Gunners to pursue the player, with Fichajes claiming they could be ready to make a significant financial offer for him.
Reijnders looks like he could be a good fit for Arsenal's style of play, and like he has the potential to give Arteta's side something a bit different due to his ability to play as a defensive midfielder or an attacking midfielder.

The 26-year-old is a hard working player with a good range of passing and an eye for goal, and one imagines there'll be plenty of other big clubs interested in him if he does look for a move away from the San Siro.
Fichajes report that Milan won't let Reijnders go easily, but it seems this is expected to be one of the major sagas to watch out for next summer.
Do Arsenal really need another midfielder?
Arsenal have already invested a lot in midfield in recent times, with Declan Rice being their big signing of summer 2023, while Mikel Merino was another keenly-anticipated arrival this year.
It might not be too wise to keep on making so many changes in that position, but Arsenal do, in fairness, have a bit of a problem as both Jorginho and Thomas Partey are due to be free agents at the end of this season.
Reijnders could, therefore, have an important role to play if he does make the move to the Emirates Stadium, so it's perhaps not too surprising that Arteta has already apparently identified him as a top target for next summer.
Liverpool have also been linked with Reijnders by a recent Milan Live report, while Football Insider have also suggested that Tottenham like him but that a deal looks unlikely.
