Report: Premier League club set to submit bid for Arsenal player Mikel Arteta called 'extraordinary'

Arsenal are set to receive a bid for a player who Mikel Arteta loves, according to a recent report.

The Gunners will be keeping an eye on all of the proceedings at Euro 2024 as they look to bolster their ranks ahead of the fast-approaching season.

Riccardo Calafiori, who shone for Italy, looks set to become their first signing of the summer as they fend off interest from Chelsea.

Though to facilitate incomings, they’ll need to trade in the window like all Premier League clubs to comply with Profit and Sustainability.

With that said, they could sell a player who Arteta loves to another Premier League club.

Fulham set to submit bid for Emile Smith Rowe

According to Alan Nixon, Fulham are set to submit a new bid to sign Arsenal playmaker Emile Smith Rowe.

Having sold Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich for in excess of £40m, the Cottagers have a boosted transfer kitty and are desperate to use some of it towards the signing of Smith Rowe.

The 23-year-old, who Arteta labelled ‘extraordinary’ via the Independent, hardly got a look in last season – making just three league starts.

As such, it’s thought that Arsenal are willing to sanction his sale if his asking price is met, though, Smith Rowe is happy to stay in North London, so it’s a tricky deal to do.

Arsenal want £60m for Emile Smith Rowe

It has been reported, per GiveMeSport, that Arsenal value Smith Rowe at £60m.

Whether that’s a previous valuation remains to be seen but it’s unlikely suitors will pay anything close to that figure.

Perhaps Fulham could strike a deal closer to the £30m mark – which would be a fair deal for all parties.
