Arsenal have had a frustrating fortnight after a couple of tough results against Fulham and Everton.

Indeed, Arsenal have taken just two points from their last two league games, and their title hopes are fading.

However, it's not been all doom and gloom at the Emirates.

There have been some standout performances from some of Arsenal's players recently, and one player who has earned plenty of credit is Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Lewis-Skelly has caught fans' eyes over the past two weeks, while Mikel Arteta has also praised the youngster.

The teenager has also been impressing on the training ground as Charles Watts reports for The Daily Briefing.

Why Arsenal staff are impressed by Myles Lewis-Skelly

Myles Lewis-Skelly has apparently been impressing Arsenal staff on the training ground.

Indeed, according to this report, Arsenal staff are actually very impressed by the youngster's mentality.

Coaches at Arsenal see Lewis-Skelly as a player who is very good at taking advice on board, believing that he is a very calm player who thinks things through logically.

The teenager appears to be a knowledge-sponge, and that has helped him seamlessly transition into this new left-back role after initially being developed as a midfield player.

Who will be Arsenal's next young star?

Every few years, Arsenal do bring through a crop of exciting youngsters.

A few seasons ago, Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe burst onto the scene at a similar time, and now, Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri appear to be doing the same.

Of course, you can never rest on your laurels in football, and eyes are already turning towards Arsenal's next crop of academy stars.

Max Dowman is already impressing at the age of just 14, while Jack Porter is seen as a bright talent at the age of just 16.

Arsenal's Hale End academy system has done a brilliant job of developing young stars in recent years, and there may be more to come from that conveyor belt of talent.

Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri have the world at their feet, and there may soon be a few more academy kids trying to break into the Arsenal first-team.
