Wolves could be welcoming a few new faces to Molineux before the transfer window closes on Monday night.
TBR Football understand Wolves are in talks to sign Volodymyr Brazhko from Dynamo Kyiv as a replacement for Mario Lemina – who is eager to leave Molineux.
Wolves are also trying to sign Kevin Danso – but could face competition for the Austrian from Aston Villa if the Villans fail to land Chelsea No.2 Axel Disasi.
Now – according to Diario de Sevilla – a new name is on the scene for Wolves fans to track in Johnny Cardoso.
Wolves see bid rejected for Johnny Cardoso
The Spanish news outlet now reveal that Wolves have seen a €20m (£16.7m) bid rejected for the United States international.
Diario de Sevilla state that Real Betis are demanding €30m (£25.1m) to sell Cardoso this late in the transfer window, although talks are ongoing with Wolves – so the Spanish side have not told those at Molineux to go away entirely.
The report adds that a meeting was held at the start of the week to discuss the 23-year-old’s immediate future, with Real Betis willing to cooperate if a respectable bid is made.
Cardoso himself is said to be keen to stay with Real Betis, although the Spanish outfit are in need of cash – Diario de Sevilla mention the financial power of the Premier League is putting ‘pressure’ on the situation, as nobody at the Estadio Benito Villamarin wants to see the midfielder’s value decrease from where it currently is.
If a move does materialise, Diario de Sevilla add that Real Betis would try to sign Guido Rodriguez on loan from West Ham as a replacement.
Tottenham will be involved in Johnny Cardoso saga either way
Spurs are heavily involved in this situation.
Tottenham have already agreed a fee for Cardoso in the region of £20m – as part of the deal which saw Giovani Lo Celso move to Real Betis for £8.4m back in August.

Diario de Sevilla write that Spurs can trigger this option to buy in June – but have explored bringing it forward to this month, although that discussion has not been revisited in recent weeks.
Even if Cardoso does end up at Wolves, Tottenham stand to benefit, as the Spanish news outlet add that Real Betis would owe Spurs 20% of the fee if he moves elsewhere before 1st July.
