West Ham are now entering a new era under Graham Potter.

West Ham have hired Potter after sacking Julen Lopetegui.

Lopetegui was under pressure for months before West Ham pulled the trigger, and now, they have a new manager in place.

Potter has joined West Ham at the perfect time as the January transfer window is open, and Potter's West Ham are already making moves.

Carney Chukwuemeka has been linked to West Ham, while Marcus Rashford is a West Ham target too.

Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Ben Jacobs has been discussing Rashford's situation and his links to West Ham, and he shared some interesting insight into this story.

West Ham more likely to sign Marcus Rashford than Tottenham

Jacobs spoke about Rashford's situation.

Rashford has been linked to Tottenham this week, but according to Jacobs, West Ham are the most serious suitors in the Premier League for the Manchester United attacker.

"A Premier League move is less likely but just keep an eye on West Ham. They want to do big things to back Graham Potter. We know they like Carney Chukwuemeka and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and from Rashford's point of view, he could have a Premier League option via West Ham," Jacobs said.

"I don't think Spurs will come back in, but West Ham out of the Premier League suitors have been touted as probably the most serious, then there's some loose interest from Napoli as well."

Marcus Rashford could be another Jesse Lingard

We've been here before, haven't we?

A talented Manchester United player looking for a new challenge only to be courted by West Ham for a January loan. Sound familiar?

Marcus Rashford's close friend, Jesse Lingard, was in a very similar situation a few years ago, and he made a loan move to West Ham that was utterly brilliant.

Lingard rediscovered his best form at West Ham, and there's reason to believe Rashford could do similar.

Rashford is an 'unbelievable' player at his best, and he could get back to that level at West Ham.

With Jarrod Bowen out injured, Rashford could be the main man in this West Ham team, and with Potter set to play an expansive, attacking style of play, there's no reason why Rashford can't get back amongst the goals if he heads to east London.

Rashford may take some convincing to join West Ham, especially as AC Milan also want Rashford, but if the attacker has a chat with Lingard about his time at West Ham, he could well be tempted to make a move to the London Stadium.

This could be a move that works for all parties.
