Fulham looking for new midfielder ahead of letting Andreas Pereira leave
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Fulham rejected bids from Palmeiras in the opening week of the window for Pereira.
However, a new bid of £20million has come in from the Brazilians.
We understand that Fulham had told Palmeiras that they were not looking to sell, but it is believed that the former Manchester United man has told them he would like to return to his homeland.
Now we are told that Fulham are looking at bringing in another midfielder – which would then see them allow Pereira to leave.
Pereira career so far
Pereira joined Fulham from Manchester United for an initial fee of £10million in July 2022, and has made 100 appearances for the Cottagers, including 17 this season.
The Brazilian rose through the ranks of the Man United academy after joining from PSV Eindhoven as an exciting young prospect for the future.
Pereira was loaned out to Granada, Valencia, Lazio and Flamengo during his time at Old Trafford before leaving for Fulham on a permanent basis in 2022.
Pereira has also won nine caps for Brazil, scoring two goals. He also represented the Selecao at Under-23 and Under-20 level, though he played for Belgium in his youth.
