TBR Football can exclusively confirm what Matheus Cunha is now thinking of doing amid interest from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Matheus Cunha has made a name for himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting talents, which has led to England’s biggest clubs taking an interest in him.

With the January transfer window now open, speculation around Cunha’s future is set to intensify, but Wolverhampton Wanderers are eager to put an end to the transfer talk.

Matheus Cunha close to agreeing new Wolves terms as he expresses desire to stay in Premier League

Wolves are ‘confident’ that Cunha is set to agree terms on a new contract, TBR Football understands.

The Brazilian has been one of the stars of the Premier League this season with ten goals to his name and his form has seen him attract interest from a host of teams.

TBR Football understands that Manchester City and Arsenal have registered their interest with Cunha’s representatives and have made them aware of their interest.

Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle are also following the 25-year-old attacking star closely.

There is interest on the continent too but TBR Football has been told that Cunha ‘loves’ the Premier League and ideally would want to stay, if he did leave Molineux.

And staying at Molineux is something the player is considering as sources with knowledge of the situation have told TBR Football that Cunha is close to agreeing terms.

The Molineux club is also confident that he will put pen-to-paper in the not-too-distant future.

Matheus Cunha style of play

Cunha would no doubt be a top signing for the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United, but understandably, Wolves don’t want to let him go so easily.

Cunha is a world-class, versatile forward who has been used in a variety of roles at Wolves, as Premier League pundit Adrian Clarke wrote on the official league website earlier this year.

At Wolves, Cunha 'either plays as a roving centre-forward or as a left-sided No. 10 in a 3-4-2-1, and from those areas it is his beautifully-balanced ball carrying which frightens defenders most.'

Sky Sports, meanwhile, described Cunha last year as 'a player with almost every key attribute – pace, power and skill.'

Cunha was praised by Man United fans after his heroics on Boxing Day as they called for the club to sign him.

The Premier League’s elite sides would need to move quickly though, because it looks like Wolves are getting close to securing his long-term future at the club.
