'That's what pleased me': Arne Slot says he absolutely loved what Liverpool fans did in 60th minute vs Tottenham

Liverpool are having a phenomenal season in all competitions under Arne Slot.
The Dutchman has taken the Reds to a whole new level since replacing Jurgen Klopp last summer. He has led them to the top of the Premier League and the Champions League tables.
Over the last week, however, Slot has experienced his first real dip. Liverpool drew against Manchester United at home before losing to Tottenham in the FA Cup.
The second result, especially, was a disappointing one, but Slot was really pleased with one thing that happened during that game.
Arne Slot reacts to Liverpool fans singing for Trent Alexander-Arnold
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been the most talked-about man in Liverpool over the last few weeks.
The Englishman’s future has been up in the air, and there has been a lot of noise around that situation. That has led to some serious criticism as well.
To make things worse, Alexander-Arnold had a really poor game against Manchester United last weekend, and fans were not happy with his display.
That was a difficult evening for the right-back, but Liverpool supporters showed that they still love him during the game against Tottenham midweek.
When Alexander-Arnold came on in the 60th minute, Reds fans screamed “The Scouser in our team,” chant.
Slot says that really pleased him, as did Alexander-Arnold’s performance against Spurs following his struggles in the previous game.
When asked if his side are conceding more goals from the right side, he said, as per Liverpool’s official website: “I do see a certain pattern in the goals we concede, but I don’t see if it’s the pattern if it’s about Trent [Alexander-Arnold] if that’s what you mean. Not at all.
“Trent has had one difficult game for us and maybe a few that were OK to good. Mainly he had great games when he played for us this season.
“I know there is a lot of focus on him at the moment, but I would also like to highlight the focus on how well he did when he came in for the last half hour [at Tottenham] and how our fans reacted on him.
“That is what pleased me even more during that game!”
What Liverpool think Alexander-Arnold will do about his future
Alexander-Arnold has entered the final six months of his contract at Liverpool.
The Reds are in talks with him and are trying to tie him down to a new deal at Anfield. However, there hasn’t been an agreement yet.
Real Madrid are pushing to sign Alexander-Arnold – either in this window or on a pre-contract so that they can get him for free in the summer.
Jonathan Northcroft has revealed that there is a growing acceptance at Liverpool that Alexander-Arnold will end up at Real Madrid.
That is a real shame, but the Reds have Conor Bradley at right-back, and he has shown a lot of promise in that position whenever he has played.
