Kevin De Bruyne proved once again that he remains invaluable to this Manchester City side as he provided two assists in their 6-0 mauling of Ipswich Town.

For Phil Foden’s second goal, Kevin De Bruyne made a darting run down the left flank before setting the Englishman up with a tap-in.

The Manchester City maestro’s second assist was a simple pass to Jeremy Doku, who weaved past his man before slotting the ball past Christian Walton.

De Bruyne was responsible for Foden’s opener as well, as his dinked pass deflected into his path before he found the back of the net.

San Diego FC are targeting De Bruyne’s signature this month but the legendary midfielder is continuing to show that he remains one of the best in the business.

Earlier this season, Pep Guardiola denied a rift with De Bruyne, who has become a regular starter for Manchester City once again this campaign and is showing his value on the pitch.

How Kevin De Bruyne outdid Ryan Giggs during Ipswich Town vs Man City

Even in City’s 2-2 draw against Brentford, the Belgian was one of the best players on the pitch, assisting Foden’s first goal with a breathtaking cross.

The Sky Blues will be heavily dependent on the 33-year-old to continue producing moments of magic as they aim to secure top four this season.

As De Bruyne turned provider for two of Manchester City’s six goals against Ipswich Town, he has also went level Ryan Giggs by providing multiple assists in as many Premier League games (17) than the Manchester United legend (17).

Famously, Giggs played in the Premier League from 1990 until 2014 while the former VFL Wolfsburg attacker is only in his 11th year in England.

The Sky Blues icon’s latest feat just goes to how special a player he is.

De Bruyne’s eye for a pass is unique and the fact that he remains as effective as he does is testament to the genius that he is.

Arsene Wenger raved about De Bruyne as a player he would like to have managed, which highlights how much respect the decorated midfielder commands.

The six-time Premier League winner’s latest accomplishment emphasised that he could be well be the greatest creator the division has ever seen.

After all, the Drongen-born technician has 43 less assists than Ryan Giggs in the Premier League as well, sitting in second place in the all-time list despite not even playing half the games.

The numbers do not lie when painting the picture that the two-time PFA Players’ Player of the Year award winner is a once-in-a-lifetime creator.

De Bruyne has garnered praise for being a remarkable difference-maker and that was certainly evident on Saturday.

De Bruyne’s intelligence knows no bounds as the way he deconstructs defences with his outstanding vision and killer pass makes him a true great of the game.
