The Premier League is packed full of world-class talent these days.
From Erling Haaland to Bukayo Saka, there are so many talented players in England's top-flight right now.
Heung-Min Son has been described as 'world class' in the past, and now, the Tottenham captain has shared who he thinks is the best player in the Premier League.
Son could've chosen Cole Palmer or Phil Foden, but, ultimately, he decided on Liverpool’sMohamed Salah, claiming that he's a huge fan of the Egyptian.
Interestingly, Son was once keen to sign for Liverpool, so he and Salah could've been teammates at one point.
Heung-Min Son says Mohamed Salah is the Premier League's best player
Son shared his verdict on Salah when speaking to Sky Sports, labelling him an unbelievable player who he's a big fan of.
Indeed, Son believes that Salah is the best player in the Premier League.
"Who does Son think is the best player in the Premier League?" Son was asked.
"Mo Salah. I'm a big fan of him so yeah it's unbelievable what he does so yeah, we've been talking about obviously about the players. I mean there are a lot of good players, but Mo Salah for many years, he's just been very, very consistent," Son said.
Heung-Min Son stats compared to Mohamed Salah
Salah and Son are two very comparable players. They're both wide attackers who love to score goals, and they've both been in the Premier League for a similar amount of time.
However, the stats show why Salah is simply on another level to Son.
Heung-Min Son Premier League stats | Mohamed Salah Premier League stats | |
Games | 311 | 274 |
Goals | 123 | 165 |
Assists | 65 | 75 |
Golden Boots | 1 | 3 |
Best scoring season | 21 | 32 |
Salah has simply outperformed Son on every metric since his arrival in the Premier League, and that shows why the South Korean holds the Egyptian in such high esteem.
Salah has been called Liverpool's most important player, and if the Reds are to win the Premier League this season, the winger will have a huge part to play.
As for Son, Tottenham are struggling this season, sitting in mid-table, and a trip to the Etihad on Saturday looks ominous as Spurs desperately try to get their season back on track after a slow start.
