Although it seems clear that Jhon Duran is unhappy at Aston Villa, Unai Emery's side have still turned down another bid for him from West Ham United.
There doesn't seem to be a day that goes by without the Colombian writing the headlines for one reason or another.
Villa fans certainly had cause for concern when the latest news on Jhon Duran emerged, and PSG were said to be readying a bid for the player as recently as a week ago. Chelsea are known to covet the striker too.

Unai Emery is playing a dangerous game it seems by pitting Duran and Ollie Watkins against each other for the main striking spot, however, that competition for places is exactly as it should be for an elite top-flight club.
It's down to the players themselves to work hard and prove to the Spaniard that they deserve more regular employment in Aston Villa's starting XI.

That could be something to do with the fact that it was for £40m, roughly the game amount as their previous offer in the summer – which was also considered too low.

Since then, despite all of the controversies that have befallen Duran, he has shown his mettle where goalscoring is concerned and, as a result, Villa were never going to accept such a low offer.
An offer that smacks of the way that David Sullivan does business and why, more often than not, the Hammers lose out on their transfer targets.
With Duran now out of the picture as far as a January transfer is concerned, West Ham will need to work hard and fast if they want a striker through the door this month.
