Walsall boss Mat Sadler has urged his players to keep working after guiding them to a tenth consecutive league game without defeat.

Scoring the only goal of the game via Taylor Allen just short of the thirty-minute mark, the Saddlers maintained their place at the top of the table, as their stellar season continues.

Sadler, who is attracting the interest of several currently managerless clubs, is keen to keep his feet on the ground, reminding his team that, despite their strong position, they can't be promoted in December.

Speaking to the assembled media, including George Bennett of the Express & Star, Sadler said: "Certainly we won't be getting promoted at Christmas.

"That doesn't happen and I've known that for a long time. I'll keep batting that back because as long as I've been aware, forty points has never got you promoted.

"So we've got a lot of work to do, a hell of a lot of work to do.

Listen, we've done well to get to where we are now and we've just got to keep working."
