Walsall's on-loan Stoke City striker Nathan Lowe has been named among the nominees for Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award for December.
After securing six goal contributions, five goals and one assist, over the course of the month, 19-year-old Lowe helped the Saddlers through a perfect month that saw them rise to the top of the table, where they currently enjoy a ten point advantage over their promotion rivals.
You can find details of all the nominees, below:
Nathan Lowe (Walsall) - striker
Gaining experience all the time, Lowe keeps on improving, sniffing out the right place to be, scoring five and assisting one of Walsall's 11 goals. Three of his goals opened the scoring, too. The calmness with which he finishes is just a natural gift.
Luke Garbutt (Salford City) – full-back
Garbutt is an all-action defender, covering ground whether out wide blocking crosses or as part of a central three as Salford kept five clean sheets in six games. His set piece delivery proved crucial, too, with a goal and an assist in the month.
Ellis Iandolo (Colchester United) - full-back
Colchester's unbeaten month, in which they kept four clean sheets in five games, owed much to Iandolo's ability to read balls into wide players, to intercept or cover and to spring forward in possession, taking the pressure off the defence.
Omar Sowunmi (Bromley) – central defender
Sowunmi matched his influence on Bromley's month to the size of his 6ft 6in frame, scoring headers in three successive matches while winning 50/50 challenges on the floor and making last-ditch tackles as his side only conceded five goals in six games.
The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports' EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies, with winners announced on, Friday, 10th January.
