Walsall are being linked with a move for young Nottingham Forest attacker Joe Gardner, who is said to be available on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

19-year-old Gardner, who is also said to be a target of League One side Lincoln City, has featured several times for Forest's Under-21s in Premier League 2 so far this season.

A winger who can also operate as a striker, Joe has also earned a trio of appearances in this season's EFL Trophy, with his first senior goal coming in a clash with Carlisle United in September.

Walsall are understood to be in the market for another attacker after the loans of Nathan Lowe and Reyes Cleary ended, leaving a lack of options heading into the rest of the season.
