Midfielder Pierre Dwomoh spoke to watfordfc.com about starting the defeat at Burnley, the influence of Moussa Sissoko and life in England.

Read what the Belgian had to say below:

On the 2-1 defeat to Burnley:

It was a difficult game, Burnley are a good team.

I knew they were a good team as the previous manager, [Vincent] Kompany, is from Belgium!

I worked with some of his staff members at Anderlecht when I was playing there.

So I knew that it was a good team which likes to play with the ball and press high. I knew already it was going to be a difficult game.

On coping with a team which presses high:

If a team comes and presses high, as a six and as a midfielder, I try to look for spaces to get the ball where there is less pressure.

It was quite difficult in the first half to find the spaces I’m talking about.

In the second half I managed to find a pattern in my head where I could get the ball and release it to Chakve [Giorgi Chakvetadze] or KB [Kwadwo Baah].

In the first half it was a bit difficult to find those patterns.

On the differences between Belgian football and the Championship:

I think in Belgium, when the bigger clubs play against the lower clubs, they go to win.

But in the Championship, everyone can win against everyone. It’s nice to see such a competitive league.

On playing with Moussa Sissoko:

Moussa is there to teach me to be patient. Off the pitch it’s more about patience and finding the right moment for me to come onto the pitch and explore myself.

He’s keeping me patient and talking to me a lot.

On the pitch, his work ethic is what I’ve learned from him.

On life in England:

London is a nice place to be. I don’t really go outside, I’m more of a FIFA player!

But my family is coming over today for Christmas so I’m going to take them out.

I’m going to explore England this week. It’s their first time for them to come over.
