Liverpool to receive new Trent Alexander-Arnold offer from Real Madrid

Real Madrid are still determined to secure the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold in January, rather than wait to get him for free in the summer. They had an opening offer turned down by Liverpool earlier in the month, but that has not deterred club bosses in their pursuit of the English right-back.

Right-back has become a problem position for Real Madrid since Dani Carvajal suffered a season-ending ACL injury, with Lucas Vazquez being unreliable in big matches. Because of this, it has been decided this week that a second offer will be sent to Liverpool in the coming days, as per Marca.

While there is no doubt that Real Madrid want to bring in Alexander-Arnold as soon as possible, agreeing a deal with Liverpool will be extremely difficult, given his importance to the Premier League leaders. Nevertheless, an effort will be made, and at the very least, it does appear that he will be heading to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.
