Saudi Arabia's moves in the transfer market have not been as colossal as they were last season, but they are still on a recruitment drive. It looks as if they will pick up one of La Liga's rising talents.
Girona winger Iker Almena was set for a big season this year, as he competed for minutes on the right side of attack, having provided a brilliant assist for Gabriel Misehouy on the opening dat of the season. Nil Sola of Cadena SER is reporting that Al-Qadsiah have activated his €5m release clause.

Sola goes on to confirm that Almena will be earning 'stratospheric' wages in Saudi Arabia. Almena has three years left on his deal at Girona, and was regarded as one of the brighter talents at the club, with Michel Sanchez showing plenty of early faith in Almena during their opening to the season. It looks a major setback for Michel, Girona and Sporting Director Quique Carcel, who must now scramble for a replacement.
