The United States men's national team is at risk of being ousted in the group stage of the Copa America after an ill-tempered 2-1 loss to Panama in its second match of the tournament.

The Americans, who played the majority of the game with 10 men following Tim Weah's red card in the 18th minute, took the lead through Folarin Balogun in the first half. But Panama came back with two goals, including a close-range winner from Jose Fajardo in the 83rd minute, to claim all three points and create plenty of intrigue going into the final round of Group C fixtures.

More to come.
