USMNT knocked out of Copa America in group stage

The United States was eliminated from the Copa America on Monday night, finishing third in Group C and failing to advance to the knockout stage.
The Americans went into their game against Uruguay knowing they needed to either match or better Panama's result in the latter's concurrent fixture versus Bolivia to reach the quarterfinals. Neither happened. The U.S. fell 1-0 to group winner Uruguay in a chaotic affair, while Panama sealed second place with a 3-1 victory over Bolivia.
Gregg Berhalter's side, the host nation, won just one of its three games at the tournament, scoring three goals.
