West Ham set to have opening £25million offer for Wolves defender rejected as Julen Lopetegui eyes up reunion

Wolves will reject West Ham’s opening bid of £25million for captain Max Kilman, talkSPORT understands.

talkSPORT reported that Wolves would be tempted to sell the centre-back this summer if their valuation was met.

Wolves would be willing to part ways with the player if they receive offers in excess of £45million.

And as a result, this will almost certainly see West Ham’s initial bid fall short.

Should a move be completed, Kilman would be reunited with former boss Julen Lopetegui amid his arrival as West Ham’s new head coach.

It was Lopetegui who made the 27-year-old his skipper at Molineux during his spell in charge during the 2022/23 season.
