All Sounders games will be available on YouTube TV

Streaming deal is the first in Sounders history. A day after announcing their local broadcast deal, the Seattle Sounders announced what can reasonably be called a pioneering deal with YouTube TV. The Sounders are actually the second MLS team to partner up with the streaming service, but unlike LAFC's deal it is not exclusive. Rather, it is more of a supplementary option for cord-cutters who are unable to get JOEtv over the air. The deal means that Sounders fans can watch games through such devices as XBox, Playstation, Apple TV, Roku or on any number of smart TVs. Unlike the more common YouTube website, though, this is a paid service with a limited geographic reach. For $35 a month, subscribers in Spokane, King, Pierce and Snohomish counties get access to a dedicated Sounders channel as well as a wide suite of popular channels like ESPN, FS1, Bravo and CNN. The upshot is that subscribers will have access to all 34 of the Sounders regular-season games with no blackouts. This is the first streaming deal of any kind for the Sounders, and while exact figures were not released a team spokesperson did confirm it was "a good deal" for the Sounders. LAFC's deal with YouTube TV, which also included a shirt sponsorship, was reportedly about $6 million a year.
